The 3rd European Blues Expo has opened this week in Bruxelles. I am very happy to have been invited to participate in the exhibition together with a number of some of the finest blues photographers in Europe such as Aigars Lapsa or Perrti Nurmi, who have both received a « Keeping the Blues Alive (KBA) » award for their career in photography. You are welcome to read about this exhibition and the participants on the site of the EBU (European Blues Union).
The 5th European Blues Challenge is a very exciting event: not only is it a great place to see and hear some of the finest blues bands from all the european countries, but it’s also a great place to meet all the people active on the european blues scene, from the major festivals in nordic countries, to italian magazines, representatives of the slovac blues (hi Lubos ;-), music producers, musicians, radio stations and more. Looking forward to be there.
Concerning the photos I will present, I tell which they are by the end of the exhibition, keep the suspense for those who might come and see it. The photos were actually selected by the organisers to represent the diversty of the blues and the goal was to show musicians from many different countries. Of course I could make a number of propositions in this scope. But in the meantime you can check my gallery of photos from 2011, 2012 and 2013.
